Have you ever wanted to add floating action buttons to your WordPress site to boost conversion rates? Perhaps you’d like a call to action button for people to phone you or visit your social media sites.
If so, Buttonizer is a fantastic and super easy plugin to accomplish adding floating action buttons on your site.
Find out how!
Buttonizer gives you the ability to easily add action buttons and style them without coding.
The Buttonizer Plugin for WordPress has both a free version and a pro version. In the video above, we are using the pro version which gives you far more flexibility than the free. The pro version is very reasonably priced and we always recommend supporting developers financially so that they can continue development, provide updates, and offer support.
Getting Started
To get started, purchase and install Buttonizer Pro. If you need resources on how to install WordPress Plugins, please see the course Your Introduction to WordPress Plugins.
Once you install Buttonizer, you’ll see the plugin on the sidebar menu of the backend of your WordPress site.
The Buttonizer configuration options are on the left and a preview of your website on the right. This is brilliant as you can see the customizations you make to your buttons as you create them.
Add Groups and Buttons
Buttonizer gives you the opportunity to create Groups and Buttons within Groups. One Group will be created for you upon installation. You can have multiple Buttons in one Group or simply have one Button in a Group. Group buttons together that you want to have the same settings for ease. That said, if you want buttons in the same Group to have different settings, simply Edit the Button Settings and Toggle the Use Group Style option. Then each of your buttons can have different Styles.
To add a new button to an existing group, simply click the Add Button link and enter a Name for the button. Then click Confirm. Do the same thing to add a new Group.
Click on the Settings icon of your new button.

Styling your Buttons and Groups
Numerous styling options for your button are available via the Style tab
Advanced Settings
The Advanced tab is where you can set Custom ID & Custom Classes if you desire it. You can also manage time schedules, page rules, timeout & scroll, and exit intent. Powerful plugin!
Time Schedules settings dictate when your buttons should appear or not appear. For example, if you want a chat or contact button to only display Monday through Friday from 9-5, you can do that from the Advanced Tab, Time Schedules settings.
If you only want a button to display on specific pages, URLs, posts, or categories, then the Page Rules setting is what you’ll want. This gives a lot of flexibility to which areas of your site buttons are published to.
Preview and Show on Desktop and Mobile
Want to see how your buttons will look on tablet and mobile views? Buttonizer has you covered there too. To preview on other devices, simply click the buttons at the bottom of the Buttonizer dashboard.
Only want your button to show on mobile or desktop? Buttonizer can do that too. Simply select what device to show on for each button.
