Update Joomla 2.5 to 3

Joomla 2.5 reaches the end-of-life on December 31st, 2014.

While this doesn’t mean your Joomla 2.5 website will stop working, it does mean that the Joomla project has turned its focus to Joomla 3 and updates for 2.5 will end.

In light of that, its time to consider moving your Joomla site to version 3! In this class, Rod demonstrates the steps you’ll need to follow in order to update to Joomla 3.

I think it is more important to stress that there will be no more security fixes rather than focus on the overall fact that there will be no more updates. Of which I think this is the most unprofessional position the Joomla team could take. Forcing us to continually update our sites when they have done squat to ensure a smooth transition when updating is not inclusive to a world class CMS.
