After a successful debut in 2012, the Joomla World Conference returns next month.

This years conference is at Harvard University from November 8th to 10th.

What’s in the 2013 Joomla World Conference?

This year they’ve divided the event into three distinct days. If you’re in the Boston area, you can buy tickets for just one day.

Friday, November 8: Business Day

The schedule of the day is handpicked to focus on business angles of Joomla, website creation, designing, building and implementing. There will be subjects like SEO, Web design, UX (User Experience), E-commerce, Management and Delegation, Project Management, Business Intelligence and many more engaging presentations that tie in both with Joomla and a business perspective.

Saturday, November 9: Geek Day

More than 30 sessions during the Geek Day with subjects varying from tutorials over code workshops to web services, LESS, abstraction frameworks, google app engine and many other very geeky sessions.

Sunday, November 10: Community Day

More than 30 sessions during the Community Day with subjects varying from Governance to Internationalization to working groups for the Webservices, UX (User Experience), UCM (Unified Content Model) and more for all the standing working groups.

OSTraining Presentations

rodmartinRod Martin will be giving a keynote on Friday called “Live Long and Prosper: 10 Business Tips from Star Trek“. In the tradition of Picard Management Tips, Rod’s going to give a humorous talk on business advice that we can take from Star Trek.

On Saturday, Rod is also presenting “45 Extensions in 45 Minutes“, a fast-paced run through the best of the Joomla Extensions Directory.

On Sunday, Steve Burge is presenting “What is Joomla’s 200 Year Plan?“, an ambitious look at the very long-term future of Joomla and the web.
