Some Joomla Explained stats

Sometime in the next few days, Joomla Explained will sell copy number 10,000.

To mark the occasion, we managed to dig up some interesting stats:

• E-books haven’t won yet. Just under 75% of the books sold were paperbacks. Just over 25% were e-books.
• We sold 10,000 copies in approximiately 650 days. That’s approximately 15 copies per day or 100 per week.
• The 10,000 sales weren’t evenly spread out. Here’s what the lifespan of the book has looked like, according to Amazon’s sales. Though this doesn’t include all sales of the book, these are the best statistics that most authors have available.

• The book sold one copy for every hour it took us to write it (this is only a small exaggeration).
• We got great reviews. Receiving an average of 4.6 out of 5 stars, Joomla Explained is currently the best reviewed Joomla book on Amazon. . Even illegal downloaders loved it. Here are the comments on a famous piracy site:
