Learning Launch: Content Marketing Class

SEOToday is the second week of our month-long launch of new SEO classes.

Last week we released two classes and a new area of the support forum for SEO and Marketing questions.

This week’s new class is Content Marketing. Dan Maynard covers the basics of content marketing. From copywriting to storytelling, Dan explains how to create content that’s valuable for your visitors and for search engines.

Last week: Introduction to SEO, WordPress, Forum

Last week, we rolled out three parts to the SEO launch:

  • Introduction to SEO which will help you with the basics of getting your site ready for Google (and the couple of other search engines that remain in its wake). We introduced you to ranking factors, keyword research and both on-site and off-site optimization.
  • WordPress SEO which gets really specific with optimization for your WordPress sites. We cover the Yoast and All-in-One SEO plugins in depth, showing how they can help you optimize your metadata, URLs, RSS feeds, internal links and more.
  • There’s also a new area of the support forum for all your SEO and Marketing questions.

Coming next week: Conversion Optimization

This class helps you sell more to your visitors. We start by helping you idenify and understand your potential customer. We then show you how to use bonuses, guarantees, discounts and other techniques to convert more visitors to customers.

Coming in 2 weeks: YouTube Optimization

YouTube is enormous traffic machine. In this class, Dan takes your SEO knowledge and shows how to adapt it to YouTube. How does YouTube optimization differ from regular SEO and how you can drive more traffic to your videos? Find out in this class.

A video for Content Marketing

As is our habit lately, we’ve got a video to go with the class. Wednesday is hump day, so we all need some music to get us going. For a class on writing, it’s hard to beat Paperback Writer from the Beatles:
