Social Buttons in WordPress with AddThis Sharing Buttons
Adding social sharing buttons to your WordPress site is very easy with the AddThis Sharing Buttons plugin. It takes only a minute to install and setup.
In this tutorial we will show you how to use this plugin.
- Go to Plugins > Add new and search for “AddThis Sharing Buttons”
- Click “Install now” and activate the plugin.
- Go to Settings > AddThis Sharing Buttons
You can choose several locations to place your sharing buttons
- Sharing Buttons Above Content
- Sharing Buttons Below Content
- Sharing Sidebar
Enable any of them, or even all by using buttons on the right-hand side.
Save the changes when you’re done.
End result
Go to the public area of your site to preview the end result. Notice the sharing buttons that are floating on the side of the site, plus the buttons on top of the content.
Disable sharing buttons in specific pages or posts
By default the sharing buttons are located above/below the content are added to all the pages and posts, however you can disable it for individual items.
Edit the page or post, scroll down to AddThis Sharing Buttons. Just turn it off and save it.
