We Are Upgrading to New Video Technology

Here at OSTraining we always aim to provide the very best training for our members.
In order to do that, we need to constantly improve by embracing the latest technology.
Today, we’re happy to announce that we’re upgrading all our videos to a new format.
About our new video format
According to Wikipedia, our new video format has “come into widespread usage on the World Wide Web due to its wide support and portability”.
This new format also allows “a single image to reference a palette of up to 256 distinct colors”. Imagine what we can do with such a rainbow of options!
Samples of the new format
Here’s a sample of how our videos will now appear:
And here’s a sample from our Drupal course, showing how to enable and install themes:
Now you can watch more quickly!
One of our favorite features of this new video format is that we can set up videos to play at a normal speed:
However, if people are short on time, they can choose to watch more quickly, using a modification called “increased frame rate”.
On the cutting edge
We hope you agree that this new video format will keep us on the cutting edge of the online education revolution.
We believe that this revolutionary new “GIF” technology is so cutting edge that it is the 21st century version of a samurai sword.
Welcome to our video dojo, when you can now be taught by our GIF ninjas.
Where do I sign up? Can’t wait for this exciting new format. 🙂
Are there any plans to have your courses made available in an iPad app so the videos can be viewed offline?
p.s. Love the clarity of the new format.
@lalavickiwatson Thanks. We’re excited although sadly a few people have started to complain that it hurts their eyes.
@patvb Good question. We’re not 100% sure on when we’ll have an iPad app yet, I’m afraid.
