11 Free Extensions, Plugins and Templates

Over the last few years, we’ve released 8 Joomla extensions, 1 WordPress plugin and 2 Joomla templates.

However, they weren’t always easy to find. Some were free, some were commercial and all of them were scattered across our site.

No longer. We’ve finally organized our free downloads and made them all available for free.

To organize our downloads we use OSDownloads. It was previously a commercial extension but is now free for everyone.

Joomla Extensions

OSToolbar: Allows you to put OSTraining videos directly inside your customers’ sites.
OSDownloads: Helps you to provide downloads in exchange for an email address which is sent to MailChimp.
OSTImer: A module that allows you to show a countdown clock.
OSDonate: A PayPal button module.
OSContent: Allows you to create and delete articles and categories in bulk.
YouTube Embedder: This is a plugin that makes it simple to embed YouTube videos into your site.
Offline Overide: Enables you to put a site in offline mode, and enter a keyword to override offline mode without requiring a login.
PDFMyURL: Works with the service, PDFMyURL.com, to generate PDF’s including images from pages on your site.

Joomla Templates

Bolt: A very easy and fast template. It’s core code still powers ostraining.com.
Breeze: This is the easiest and fastest template we’ve ever made!

WordPress PIugins

This is great, but can you put a link to the page in the navigation bar? If I want to get to the page in the future, I either have to bookmark it now or find this blog entry again.

We’ve got a lot of stuff, so we try to keep the top menu relatively clutter-free. There is a link to the Downloads in the Footer.
