The Coffee Module Makes Life Easier for Drupal Admins

Navigating through Drupal’s admina area can be complex for users.

Drupal’s Coffee Module can help Drupal newcomers. Coffee adds an additional search function which allows admins to search and go directly to the areas they need.

Coffee is available for both Drupal 7 and Drupal 8.

• Download the module from Coffee’s page on Drupal.org.
• Install and enable the Coffee module.
• Click the “Configure” button.

Coffee’s search functionality is based on menus, as you can see in the image below.

The Coffee configuration allows you to choose between the different menus, but I see no reason not to enable search for all of these menus.

Depending on the amount of content you have, you might also want to extend the max results.

Once Coffee is enabled, you’ll see a small search box in the menu bar:

You can also access the search by clicking ALT+D on your keyboard.

When you use the search, it suggests results just like Google search.

This simple module can help you quickly move around Drupal and is a great addition to any Drupal site.
