The classic OS Training platform stays online and running through September 1, 2027. Every existing membership term completes before that date, so no one loses time they paid for.
What is changing
Memberships are closed to new signups, and existing memberships will not renew. When your current term reaches its end date, it simply completes. You will not be billed again, and you do not need to cancel anything to make that happen. We have switched renewals off on our end so that nobody gets a surprise charge.
Why your membership does not carry over to the new platform
We want to be straight with you about this one, because it is the question that matters most. The new OS Training platform is built on adaptive learning technology we license from our partner, Scholé AI. It is a fundamentally different kind of product, that uses an AI tutor that adjusts to each learner, lesson paths that rebuild themselves around the person taking them, and live infrastructure running behind every single session. It costs substantially more to operate than a video library does. That means memberships cannot convert one for one. A classic membership and a subscription to the new platform are not the same thing, and we would rather tell you that plainly than blur it.
Your Tribe discount
Every current OS Training member has received a discount code for the new platform. So has every past member. That was deliberate. If you have ever been part of this Tribe, we wanted you to have the best rate we can offer and not just the public price, and not a promotion that expires into something higher later. Your code locks in a reduced rate that stays reduced for as long as you remain subscribed. There is no pressure to use it. Your current membership runs its course either way. But if you are curious about the new platform, it is there waiting for you.

When exactly does my access end?
On the last day of the term you paid for.
Will I be charged again?
No. Renewals have been switched off. You do not need to cancel anything to avoid a charge.
I have a lifetime membership from the original Open Source Training. What happens to me?
Your access to the classic platform continues until it retires on September 1, 2027, the same as every other member. We wanted to give you that date up front rather than leave it open ended. Some history is worth knowing here, because it explains what we can and cannot do. OS Training, LLC is a different company from the original Open Source Training. Years ago we purchased that company’s assets, meaning its course library and its platform, but not its business entity and not its obligations. The lifetime memberships were sold by the previous owners, under agreements that OS Training, LLC was never a party to and did not assume. We chose to honor that access anyway. For years, legacy lifetime members have kept an account on our platform at no charge, because it seemed like the right thing to do and not because anyone required it of us. We would make the same call again. That courtesy runs all the way to September 1, 2027, when the classic platform retires. It does not extend to the new platform, which is a separate subscription service built on technology we license from a partner. Will my progress or course history transfer to the new platform?
Not directly — the two platforms are separate systems. But the new platform adapts to what you already know, so you will not be made to sit through material you have already mastered.
Can I use both at once?
Yes. If you subscribe to the new platform while your classic membership is still active.
What if I do not want to move to the new platform?
That is completely fine, and it costs you nothing. Your membership runs to the end of its term exactly as it would have.
Why not just keep the old platform running as it was?
We looked hard at that. The honest answer is that the classic library was falling further behind the tools our learners actually use, and adding more videos to it was not going to close that gap. We would rather create on a platform that keeps up.
